W&L invests heavily in student research, whether independent or in partnership with faculty. 作为一个W&我的学生, you can apply for one of hundreds of research stipends to partner with a professor or undertake an independent research project, on-campus or further afield. 机会 abound for work in the natural sciences and the humanities, and students are encour年龄d to take part in the University's semi-annual Science, Society and the 艺术 research conference.

Advanced Immersion and Mentoring

The Advanced Immersion and Mentoring (AIM) program instills an increased sense of confidence and belonging for entering first-year students from widely diverse backgrounds. AIM Summer Scholars participate in a fully-funded five-week experience on campus before classes start conducting research in a variety of disciplines and areas of study.

Johnson Opportunity Grants

Johnson Opportunity Grants support independent student projects, 包括实习, 会议旅游, service or research projects around the world. Johnson Opportunity Grants are competitive and open to any rising junior or senior.

Endeavor Collaborative Grants

Johnson Endeavor grants support pairs of U.S. and international students in developing and realizing a summer project in the home country of the international student.
